Fees

Our fees range from 2¢ to 5¢ per word, and the actual rate may be lower or higher, depending upon the degree of editing required and the technical level of the material.

Clients can make one payment to have their entire manuscript edited, or they may pay on a chapter-by-chapter basis. The choice is yours!

Our Fifteen-Point Checklist for Copy Edit Services

After we receive your document, we will correct the following elements:

• Correct use of acronyms and abbreviations

• Correct use of numbers

• Orphaned sentences

• Consistency for dates, names or locations

• Correct use of italics

• Proper table formatting

In addition, we provide suggestions about edits that might need further attention on your part.

We also comment on legality issues and give you guidance as to how to protect your work—in some instances, we may suggest that you consult with an attorney, but that is your choice.

You will notice that you cannot submit a payment through our web site for our editing services. The reason for this is because we must see your document first, and then when we both agree on the fee and due date, we will send you an electronic invoice before we perform the services you require.

We honor our price quotes and there are no hidden fees or additional charges unless you specifically request an add-on service after submitting your initial payment.
